Baby TC Update

Hey Ladies,

I got a chance to visit with Beth and TC on Sunday. Both Mommy and Daddy are doing great. They both have their parents there helping out and Beth was leaving the hospital on Monday.

The baby is doing well for his pre-mature age. Beth had a really easy labor, I'm sure due to the fact that little TC was so small. She said that she pushed 5 times and he was here...and she did it without any medication! Go Beth!!

Little TC is 14 inches long and 2lbs, 9oz. The NICU has "Touch Times" when they have to do their work on him, and that's when Beth and TC get to go in and touch him. They thought that Sunday or MOnday they'd get to hold him for the first time and change his diaper.

I did get to see pictures, and he is adorable. He's a tiny little thing, but he has long thin legs - like Beth! Beth is doing remarkably well considering how quickly all of this happened. She said that she was going to rest for a few days and then she was excited about starting on the nursery. Her friend Kristen is coming up from FL in a week or so, so I hope to be able to catch up with them again while she's in town and take Beth out for lunch or dinner or something between visits to the hospital.

They do expect TC to be in the hospital until his due date, July 10th, but I believe that prayer and the love that Beth and TC has for this small child will help him to grow and develop more quickly so that this family can take him home and love him from there...sooner than July 10th!

Continue to pray for this family and the health and growth of Baby TC. I'll post more updates after I talk to Beth again.

Thanks for all of your comments and well wishes. I'm passing them on to Beth!

Priases and Prayers

Ladies,

I just learned this evening, that a very dear friend of mine, and my AGD Twin, had her baby today. He's about 3 months early, and he weighs 2lbs, 9oz. I got a text message that I read at 9:30PM - and I half way thought it might be a belated April Fools joke - but I finally got to talk to the proud new Mommy and she did indeed give birth today, and she and baby are doing well.

Beth (Houpert) Richard and her husband TC are the proud parents of a brand new son, who I think they've named TC Jr. I'll find out for sure, though, tomorrow. Beth sounded absolutely WONDERFUL!!! And the baby is doing well for his premature age. He is on a ventilator, but he doesn't need oxygen supplementation - so he's breathing room air. I hope to get some pics tomorrow when I visit her, and I'll post more updates soon.

For now, Praise God that both are doing so well, and please keep all of them in your prayers. The baby will probably be in the hospital until July - but we all know that prayer can get babies bigger and healthier sooner!! So, please remember the Richard family in your daily prayers, and check back soon for an update on the new family.

Easter Pics

I never did post the kids' formal Easter Pics, so here they are!!! Enjoy!!!!

Having Fun!!!
(At least they were, it took us over an hour to get a shot of both of them together!! This is why professional studios charge you and arm and a leg...because after you've wrangled my two kiddos in the studio...you're willing to cut both off in order to get one decent shot!)
